Rob Joynson, RMT

Rob is a Registered Massage Therapist who successfully completed the 2300 hour program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT) in 2015. In his work Rob focuses on releasing soft tissue restrictions, which allows for greater tissue mobility and flexibility. Rob's goal in treatment is to provide personalized care based on the patient's individual needs, and to assist them in achieving optimal health and function. Rob encourages his clients to be proactive in their healing process by educating them and customizing a home care regime that may include stretching, strengthening and remedial exercises to facilitate the recovery process. Rob understands the importance of treating each new client as a whole person and he loves the challenge of uncovering the root of dysfunction or pain, rather than simply treating symptomatically. In his treatments he uses a combination of relaxation techniques, joint mobilizations and deep tissue massage, fascial work, muscle energy technique, trigger point therapy and passive and active movement in order to reduce pain, increase function and increase overall well-being. He is well versed in a multitude of musculoskeletal and systemic conditions; however, he is particularly interested in treating chronic neck and low-back pain, tension headaches and stress and anxiety.

Ed Wong, RMT

Trigger points! If you have trigger points (aka knots), Ed will find them. Ed firmly believes in a systematic and holistic approach including releasing trigger points to give the client the most bang for the buck and the fastest road to recovery from chronic injury. Many of the clients Ed has seen have been in search for an RMT who is committed to stamping out trigger points. A former competitive swimmer, runner, and triathlete, Ed has experienced just about every sports injury first hand. While a competitive athlete, Ed developed a severe herniated lumbar disc which ended up in surgery. As a result, Ed is keen in helping clients with back problems through massage and through a positive approach in lifestyle change.
